🧠 Today’s Tip: Prompt: Use AI to Price Your Product or Service
(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.
Are you worried about AI? Well, this won’t make you feel better.
Could a supercomputer predict the results of a social experiment? That’s what an AI was recently tested for in a study. Researchers programmed a GPT-4 algorithm to simulate how Americans would react to different conditions selected at random. The subjects were then run through real-world experiments and the results matched eerily closely with the computer’s predictions. This indicates that large language models could help researchers fine-tune their ideas before initiating full-scale trials with people.
However, the test also revealed the drawbacks and dangers of using artificial intelligence in this way. While it was usually accurate, this system often overestimated outcomes following specific interventions — so its forecasts weren’t 100 percent reliable. Scientists are also worried about misappropriating LLMs; they could potentially be deployed as tools for creating false or harmful content. In conclusion, according to those who conducted this investigation, caution should be exercised when utilizing such programs alongside social science. They recommend setting up regulations against their misuse while ensuring ethical applications of any forecasts based on them.
🚨New WP: Can LLMs predict results of social science experiments?🚨
Prior work uses LLMs to simulate survey responses, but can they predict results of social science experiments?
Across 70 studies, we find striking alignment (r = .85) between simulated and observed effects 🧵👇

Cool Tech: AI-Generated Photos of People
Generative AI has been improving steadily over the last year, and this past week, we saw some hockey stick evolution that we need to discuss.
First, this image started making the rounds on social media. It was created with a Flux and a Lora combo, which you can also use here. This is the first time I looked at an AI-generated photo and could not detect an AI at first glance.
No one on Earth would have questioned this photo if you had just randomly seen it. And then, more photos started to emerge, and they looked real!
Okay, photos are one thing, right? But there’s a video, too. The video looks a little less real, but I still believe 90% of people would be fooled by it.
So I made a 100% AI YouTuber with photoai.com + Flux + @Kling_ai + @synclabs_so
