🧠 Today’s Tip: Use AI to Improve Your Writing Skills
(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.
There are so many intersections between tech and government that the average citizen will never know about. I would also assume most of these intersections would make our skin crawl. I am a big OpenAI fan, but this one feels slightly off, right? The former head of the NSA, Paul M. Nakasone, has joined the OpenAI board.
Retired U.S. Army General Paul M. Nakasone is a leading expert in cybersecurity, technology advancement, and global cyber defense. In his career as an Army officer, he was pivotal in the creation of U.S. Cyber Command. He was the longest-serving leader of USCYBERCOM and also led the National Security Agency, where he was charged with safeguarding the United States' digital infrastructure and advancing the country's cyberdefense capabilities. He has served in command and staff positions across all levels of the United States Army with assignments with elite cyber units in the United States, the Republic of Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
I’m not at the Edward Snowden level of worry about this, but it feels “off” to me.
They've gone full mask-off: 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 trust @OpenAI or its products (ChatGPT etc). There is only one reason for appointing an @NSAGov Director to your board. This is a willful, calculated betrayal of the rights of every person on Earth. You have been warned.

Cool Tech: Robot-run Starbucks are the Future
I love robotics news because I love me some bots! Disclaimer: no, I don’t want every human to lose their job to robots, but I do think some job loss to robots will happen, and I find it fascinating.
This is what it looks like when two humans and 100 robots run a single Starbucks.
'NAVER 1784' is the world's largest robotics testbed. The Starbucks on the second floor of 1784 is the world's most unique Starbucks, with more than 100 service robots called "Rookie" delivering Starbucks drinks to meeting rooms and private seats, and various experiments with a dual-arm robot.
The bots are coming!
Latest News.
My take: AI-curated news is awesome, but this also just feels like social media, right? News that is for me based on what I interact with is great, but it feels like my X feed.
My take: Shout out to LinkedIn for innovating with the right products at the right time. As employees become more mobile than ever, those who use AI will always beat those who do not.
My take: The world’s biggest tech companies are investing in generative AI. What does that tell you? Go build!
My take: Roads?! Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. I am ready for the future of long- and short-distance travel.
