(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.

I am a two-time founder (both marketing companies) and pride myself on being a marketing expert above all else. Well, it’s good I sold my company because AI is coming for my job either way.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that artificial intelligence will do "95% of what marketers use agencies, strategists, and creative professionals for today."

Here’s the thing: I am not denying this. I think AI will take all jobs in some fashion at some point. That doesn’t mean humans will have no purpose anymore, but it means executors must be extremely valuable.

Here’s the full quote:

"Oh, for that? It will mean that 95% of what marketers use agencies, strategists, and creative professionals for today will easily, nearly instantly and at almost no cost be handled by the AI — and the AI will likely be able to test the creative against real or synthetic customer focus groups for predicting results and optimizing. Again, all free, instant, and nearly perfect. Images, videos, campaign ideas? No problem."

Sam Altman

Don’t worry, marketers. We have a few years to figure our shit out. But still, imagine a robot coming up and asking you to film a TikTok dance for the brand account.

Cool Tech: Midjourney Alpha

Midjourney is still the premier AI tool for generating stunning images, and it just got even better. The worst thing about Midjourney was having to use Discord to create images. Not only because Discord is clunky but because everyone was watching the weird shit I was making in real time.

Those days are over. Midjourney is moving to its own web platform for image creation, and it’s incredible.

How to access:

  • You must have an active Midjourney subscription.

  • You must have created at least 1,000 images in the past. To check, use the /info command in Discord.

  • Navigate to alpha.midjourney.com and log in using your Discord account credentials.

I have used this a ton, and it’s way more fun in the web interface than in Discord.

Latest News.

My take: The most important line from this article: “My prediction is that the software by itself will expand from $600 billion to more than double or triple that. So there’s plenty of upside for software companies by automating human labor and delivering more productivity per capita.”

My take: I read this article and watched the video, and I think this is amazing. Incredible. Why wouldn’t every fast-food restaurant do this?

My take: Imagine the levels of security monitoring people working on AI in America and abroad. It’s only going to get more intense from here out.

My take: I’m just waiting until the future when AI starts creating medications to help manage or cure all kinds of illnesses.
