Big news for us data nerds (yes, I am one of you)! OpenAI has given us a gift; you can now interact with tables and charts and add files directly from Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.

This includes these updates:

• Upload the latest file versions directly from Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive

• Interact with tables and charts in a new expandable view

• Customize and download charts for presentations and documents

But wait, there’s more! OpenAI and Reddit have partnered to bring Reddit content to the ChatGPT platform. Here are the announcements:

• OpenAI will bring enhanced Reddit content to ChatGPT and new products, helping users discover and engage with Reddit communities. To do so, OpenAI will access Reddit’s Data API, which provides real-time, structured, and unique content from Reddit. This will enable OpenAI’s AI tools to better understand and showcase Reddit content, especially on recent topics.

• This partnership will also enable Reddit to bring new AI-powered features to Redditors and mods. Reddit will be building on OpenAI’s platform of AI models to bring its powerful vision to life.

• Lastly, OpenAI will become a Reddit advertising partner.

Cool Tech: Google’s Veo

While we’re still waiting patiently for Sora, OpenAI’s text-to-video tool that blew the world away during demos, Google has launched a waitlist Veo.

Here’s what you need to know:

VideoFX is our newest experimental tool that lets you turn an idea into a video clip with just a text prompt. It’s powered by Veo, Google DeepMind’s newest and most capable video generation model, which enables you to create content that captures emotional nuance across visual styles and produces striking cinematic effects.

The experimental tool also comes with a Storyboard mode that lets you iterate scene by scene and add music to your final video. It’s great for quick explorations and creative control. VideoFX is available in private preview starting in the U.S., and you can sign up to join the waitlist.
