(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.
Sex sells, and clearly, people are lonely. I just went to Orlando and watched the movie HER on the plane. This movie is 11 years old and holds up exceptionally well. The premise is a man falls in love with an OS and starts a relationship with her. Back then, he couldn’t see her. Today’s AI can share photos, and it’s very lucrative.
Meet Lexie Love, an AI model that makes $30,000/mo and gets 20 marriage proposals a month.
The future is going to be really odd. Also, creating an AI model persona sounds like a lucrative business model.

Cool Tech: Figure Robots + BMW
I have been following Figure for a long time, and I love their business model. In a race with Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and other robotic companies are in a race to bring humanoids to our lives.
We’re engineering the humanoid to make humans capable of more. With the first humanoid by our side in the workforce, we’ll have the ability to create and produce so much more, address drastic labor shortages, and reduce the number of workers in unsafe jobs.
Well, if you plan on buying a BMW in the near future, it may have been built by a Figure robot.
Figure, a California-based company developing autonomous humanoid robots, today announced that it has signed a commercial agreement with BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC to deploy general purpose robots in automotive manufacturing environments.

My take: This should not surprise anyone. The good news is that it may not work for all companies and could really backfire. But I would expect more of this.
My take: Reminder—technology has replaced jobs for hundreds of years. Humans have always found a way to continue.
My take: Awkward. I have probably contributed to this.
My take: The man who once let you poke classmates online is now creating AI that will take over your life. FUN!

Today’s Tip: Travel Tips with ChatGPT
I am going to Tokyo in April, and we are in full-on planning mode to ensure it’s the best trip ever. As we finalize our days, we are buying tickets for the last few things. My wife wanted to check out Tokyo Disney Sea, and I wanted to know how to best get there from our hotel. ChatGPT to the rescue with an instant answer.
How long would it take me to get from the Grand Hyatt Tokyo to Disney Tokyo Sea? What is the fastest and best way to get there on a Tuesday?
We have now used this same prompt to plan day trips to Mt. Fuji, figure out the best way to take the trains everywhere while out there, and look up the must-see temples and restaurants when we’re there.
Shout out to ChatGPT, my personal travel planner.
Today’s Inspiration: Don’t get complacent.
I really dislike complacent people, complacent companies, and complacent friends.
You don’t always have to be perfect, but you should always show up and give a shit. Complacency is how you get a robot replacement.
