I have mixed feelings about Yelp as a company and online review platforms in general, but I do love innovation around popular apps. Like them or not, we all use Yelp. I travel a lot, and Google and Yelp reviews are a big part of it.
If you are a small business on Yelp, you will want to see this.
Yelp announced a new AI-powered chatbot today for consumers that helps them connect with relevant businesses for their tasks. The company joins a long list of organizations leaning into AI chatbots as an assistive medium.
The company is rolling out the AI assistant on its iOS app under the “Projects” tab with plans to expand to Android later this year. Yelp said that the chatbot uses OpenAI’s large language models (LLMs) along with its own data to ask users about their problems and connect them with relevant professionals for the job.
Rather than using a traditional search box to look for different kinds of professionals for the problem, you can describe the issue directly into the chat interface.

Tiangong, the world’s first full-size fully electric humanoid #robot capable of running like a human, was unveiled in Beijing on Saturday. Standing at 163 cm tall and weighing 43 kg, the robot can run steadily at a speed of 6 km/h and walk through slopes or stairs in blind mode.

Creating characters for a marketing campaign, school project, or personal use is difficult for most. Hey, we’re not all graphic designers. But with one simple prompt (that I came across on Midjourney and edited), you can create your own characters to use and tell stories with.
Here’s your prompt to edit:
A set of cute [insert whatever you want] emoticons, including crying, laughing, angry, coquettish, hugging, raising hands and other expressions and actions. The emoticon pack has a white background and a simple style, using simple lines, solid color blocks, vector graphics and simple sticker designs. This style is reminiscent of minimalist vector graphics. --ar 52:53 --stylize 750I have two Boston Terriers and an orange tabby cat, so I did one for Boston Terriers and one for our cat, Nala.
