Hello from Kyoto! I’m writing this edition from a fantastic hotel in a fantastic city, and I could not be more relaxed right now.

Since I was a kid watching The Jetsons, I dreamed of having an in-home robot. No, seriously. I have been obsessed with robots for many years. And now, we’re here, and so are the robots.

In fact, Elon Musk says the Optimus in-home robot may be closer than we think—close enough to order by the end of next year. Now, that doesn’t mean your new robot companion will just show up at your door, but time flies, and we are not that far away.

Personal feelings about Elon Musk aside, Tesla and SpaceX have changed the world. Starlink is a beautiful product, and I spend a lot of time on X. The Point is, don’t bet against him.

All of this tech will be available to humanity, and I just want a robot that will keep my house as clean and beautiful as the amazing hotel I am staying at 24/7.

Cool Tech: Bland AI

As a marketer, I appreciate anyone who knows how to sell me. Yesterday, I was walking around a market in Kyoto where 10+ booths were selling premium matcha. One woman went out of her way to get our attention, and I appreciated it so much that we bought our matcha goods from her.

I also saw this tweet come across my X feed and instantly fell in love with Bland AI. What a killer marketing campaign, and I am so happy they are getting the attention they deserve.
