Cool Tech: Robotic Massages

If you’re like me, you don’t want to be touched by strangers ever. If you like getting massages from a human, that’s also okay for what I’m about to tell you. Robot messages have arrived, and apparently, they are very good.

The Lotte New York Palace Hotel in Midtown has become the first property to offer automated massages, a pioneering service by Aescape. This innovative robotic masseur provides a unique experience, delivering 30-minute sessions for $75. The robot’s symmetrical strokes enable it to work twice as fast as a human therapist, providing a practical yet slightly clinical experience. With plans to deploy 200 more units to hotels and gyms, including Equinox locations, Aescape aims to revolutionize the wellness industry with on-demand, automated treatments.

Aescape’s founder, Eric Litman, envisions these robotic masseurs as a solution to the growing demand for wellness services amid labor shortages. The robots can operate around the clock, transforming underutilized spaces into efficient spas. The service offers personalized massage experiences with body-scanning sensors and adjustable pressure levels, all controlled via a tablet interface. While the robotic massage lacks the human touch and emotional connection, it ensures consistency and convenience, making it an appealing option for busy travelers and business professionals.

It’s been a while since I shared some good Midjourney prompts for creating beautiful images. So, I scoured the internet and found some inspiration that I wanted to share with you.

Here’s the prompt I found:
