Remember last year when Hollywood writers and actors had a prolonged strike for better pay and safety from AI? Well, here we are on the other side of it. As I told my wife, “Hollywood will probably cut a good deal, knowing it’s the last one they ever have to cut.”

OpenAI’s text-to-video technology, known as Sora, is the best I have ever seen, and I can see how it can developed to be perfect for Hollywood. It sounds like Hollywood has similar optimism.

While Sora is not public yet, a few A-list directors and actors have already been given access to test the tool.

Cool Tech: Everyone will own a robot.

Most people have a home, car, smartphone, etc. These are table stakes for a normal way of life in our world—you need a smartphone to get things done. What if robots were the next item everyone would need to own?

Figure CEO Brett Adcock said as much this week, and I am excited about this future. Please don’t blame me for being so pro-robot; blame The Jetsons!

A few things come into play when it comes to whether we'll all have robots at home. First, how much is that tech going to cost? Then, what do people need and want from their robots? And, of course, as robots get smarter and can do more stuff, that will make a big difference, too. It's all about finding that sweet spot where the price, personal needs, and the cool new things robots can do all line up.
