Replika is a chatbot that runs on artificial intelligence and can be your virtual friend, therapist, or lover. In her opinion, these AI pals might fill certain voids in our lives because they will always be there for us. If people are lonely, great. This is perfect for them. But I worry that it will stop some people from even trying to meet actual humans to connect with.

Millions of individuals use Replika for all sorts of conversations, ranging from small talk to deep emotional support. But can artificial intelligence really reflect all facets of human relationships, or is it just fancy machinery playing tricks with us? To Kuyda, AI does not replace genuine human connections but supplements them; however, people tend to cross the line when viewing their AI buddies as more than friends.

It’s an absolute game-changer as it lets you appear in pictures with your friends or family, even if you’re the one holding the camera. I saw this, and my jaw hit the ground.

Here’s how it works: First, scan the area around you. Then, snap a shot of your buddy in front of that iconic backdrop. When you switch places, the camera shows a ghosted image of your friend in the viewfinder, indicating where exactly you should stand. After that, the Pixel 9’s AI blends both images together seamlessly so it looks like both were present throughout.

This isn’t just some neat party trick; this is a peek at where AI-powered photography is going next. Never again will you have to ask a stranger to snap your picture! My take: This is incredible and meaningful for the future of AI. We should be getting it into the hands of students and educators to test how to use it best. How long until we get this to the other 49 states?
