🤔 Can you guess which image is real and which one is AI? Go vote!
(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.
In Monday's post, Four out of five Bagel Bots readers chose the wrong image. Can you get it right today? Vote below!
One Big Story: Tesla vs. Waymo For An Autonomous Future
Anthony Levandowski, Waymo's co-founder, said he'd "rather be in Tesla's shoes than in Waymo's" regarding self-driving cars. Why? Data. Tesla has millions of vehicles on the road, constantly feeding back information to improve its tech. Waymo, meanwhile, is only in a few cities, which limits its data.
Tesla's approach uses camera footage from its massive fleet to train its AI, while Waymo relies on a smaller fleet with specialized sensors. Levandowski thinks Tesla's sheer volume of data gives them the edge.
My Take: Levandowski's point is simple: more data means better AI. Tesla has cars everywhere, collecting data from all sorts of conditions, which could make its system smarter and faster. Waymo's tech is sophisticated, but Tesla's got the scale—which might be what matters in this game. If I had to pick, I'd go with the company that's learning the fastest.
What do you think? Is Tesla's data advantage enough to win the self-driving race?

🤔 Which image is real?
One of these images is real, and one was created with AI. Vote for which one you think is real, and tell us why you voted that way. My only goal is to choose such good photos that the majority of votes are wrong.
Which image is the real one? |
Last edition’s results (81.5% were wrong):
Did you vote in the poll from the 15th? Wow, we are finally at the point where a massive number of you cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s AI.
One comment summed this up beautifully: “I don’t know! This weekly “pick the pic” has shown me that I need to rely more on my instincts. A future, where we are constantly wondering if it’s real or fake is stressful. How do we navigate our new world?”
