🎙️ My new favorite AI app - Speechify

I receive so many PDFs, documents, long emails, and the list goes on and on. I don’t particularly enjoy reading them. I do, however, love listening to podcasts all day. Speechify solves a big problem for me.

I can upload anything (including web links), and it will read to me in real-time (or later). It’s literally that simple.

Why is this so helpful for me? I can take all the documents, memos, emails, PDFs, and briefs I receive in a day and listen to everything while walking my dogs after work.

This is how it looks:

There is a free trial, and I recommend you sign up and test this for yourself. Such a time saver. Oh yeah, you can also have things read to you by Gwyneth Paltrow and Snoop Dogg.

🖼️ The best aspect ratios for your Midjourney prompts.

Whether creating a graphic, printing a photo, or shooting a video—aspect ratio is important. The aspect ratio is the relationship between a media file's height and width (shape).

In Midjourney, you can do any aspect ratio in the latest version. However, there are some better than others. Let’s use the same prompt and see how it changes based on different aspect ratios.

First, you’ll need to know how to add an aspect ratio to your prompt. At the end, you’ll type:

--ar 16:9

Of course, you can swap that for any aspect ratio you want.

  • --ar 1:1 - Standard aspect ratio for square frames.

  • --ar 3:2 - Typical for standard photographs.

  • --ar 4:3 - Regularly seen in classic TV sets and desktop screens.

  • --ar 5:4 - Usual ratio for frames and printouts.

  • --ar 7:4 - Comparable to High Definition TV and mobile phone displays.

  • --ar 16:9 - Regular for wide-format screens.

  • --ar 9:16 - Portrait counterpart of 16:9, often used for upright visuals.

So, let’s say I wanted to have a fashion model posing prompt in different aspect ratios. Here’s what we would get:

Prompt:

/imagine A beautiful woman wearing glasses with roses on her wall, in the style of glamorous Hollywood portraits, light pink and red, 32k uhd, dressed in a Gucci suit, dramatic lighting effects, New York fashion week - inspired, big gold jewelry --ar [ratio]

Disclaimer: I have used this prompt before and gotten very diverse women. This one used the same model in each image.

1:1

3:2

4:3

5:4

7:4

16:9

9:16

💰 My big thought of the day: making money is not a bad thing.

Don’t let people fool you - money can buy happiness. More shit around your house won’t make you happy, but comfort, healthcare, and shelter make people happy.

My financial advice: spend money on experiences and things that enhance your life, not toys and stupid shit.

Disclaimer: I have more Incredible Hulk comics, toys, and art than you can even imagine.
