(Read time: six minutes)
I have spoken to many readers of this newsletter, and most of you are smart business people, indie hackers, hustlers, and AI enthusiasts. I just read that 75% of businesses are implementing or considering bans on ChatGPT, which is insane.
If you are one of these companies or work for one of these companies, please rethink your stance. This is life-changing technology; why would you tie one hand behind your back?
🚨 I have an ask: email me things you want to learn or read about. Send an email to [email protected] and let me know what’s on your mind.
Want to connect with me beyond Bagel Bots? You can also connect with me directly on Twitter (X) and LinkedIn. If you’re new here, you can read past posts and subscribe to Bagel Bots to get caught up.
💰 If you’re looking for investors or advisors for your AI product. I’m interested.
📽️ Fresh app of the day - Zoom Clips
I posted about this the other day, but Zoom created a Loom competitor called Clips. I tested it, and I have to say—it’s smooth. I have loved Loom for a long time, but all these years later, it’s still buggy on my Mac. I love the product and will continue to use it, but Zoom Clips may get some time in my rotation, too.
Using Zoom Clips is easy and smooth, and sharing videos is just two clicks. No, you cannot currently download the clips like you can on Zoom, so that is a major bummer.
You can edit these Clips once they are done, too. Test it out, and let me know what you think!
🔗 You can read more about Zoom Clips here.
💡 Fresh AI and tech news to consume.
My take: The future of intellectual property is at stake right now. If we can take artists’ voices and have them sing anything we want, I can only see that going badly. What about you?
My take: The good news: this new AI is working to identify asteroids that are coming anywhere near Earth. The bad news: humans missed it. This is exciting, but we will need an AI that can stop an asteroid if it’s truly on the way to us.
My take: Afraid of heights? You will have a big decision to make—beat traffic in the air or sit in traffic without the height issue. What will you do?
My take: This headline has been making the rounds for a couple of days, and while it could be accurate, it feels like clickbait to me. Competition is tight, but there is too much money behind OpenAI for it to fail. More importantly, this is a reminder that AI is still very expensive to build.
My take: The good news is that Democrats and Republicans both agree (finally) on their fear of AI. Where do you stand on your love or fear of AI?

😌 What is better than Saturday morning?
Most days, I wake up around 4:30 am and have the same exact morning. During the week, that includes me at my desk downstairs at 5:00 am, checking emails and getting ready for my day. The Slack messages, texts, and emails are already flying, and I jump into the madness that is life as a CEO.
I wake up at the same time on Saturdays, except there are no Slacks, texts, or emails. I can breathe, watch a movie, or catch up on personal projects without interruptions.
What is better than Saturday morning?
I believe Saturday morning is the best time/day combo of the entire week. You still have the weekend ahead of you, it's relaxing, and it's the best time to think without interruptions.
Best time/day combos:
Saturday morning
Friday night
Sunday morningAgree?
