🧠Today’s Tip: Personal Brand Building with AI
(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.
I was in London last week and had multiple issues with Uber and cab drivers. The streets of London are wonky, and in both cases, the drivers asked me if they could drop me off in places not exactly near my destination because it would be more convenient for them. In both cases, I asked them to drop me off where I was supposed to be dropped off because that’s what I paid for.
So yeah, I guess you could say I am both excited and bullish on driverless cars. However, I’m located in Southern California, not Northern California, so I won’t get to partake in the big Waymo party. The big news is out—Waymo One is now open to everyone in San Francisco.
The wait is over. Starting today, anyone can hail a ride with Waymo in San Francisco. Rain, shine, or Karl the Fog, just download the app, and ride. We’ve been operating in San Francisco for years now, deliberately scaling our service over time. With tens of thousands of weekly trips, our Waymo One service provides safe, sustainable, and reliable transportation to locals and visitors to the city alike. Now it’s available to anyone.
Are you in or out on driverless cars?

Cool Tech: Fourier Intelligence’s GR-1 robot
Another day, another incredible humanoid is coming, except this one has a cool party trick. Like Tesla cars, this robot has six cameras (instead of two eyes) to help it see the world around it.
As for the GR-1, the six cameras are placed strategically around the robot to give it a 360-degree view. Since it can see all around it, the cameras’ views can be combined to generate a bird’s eye view that helps the GR-1 map out where it is in relation to its surroundings. With the top-down look, Fourier’s robot can even generate a virtual environment with 3D models so it knows exactly how much space it has to avoid collisions.
I will keep beating the drum for everyone who will listen, “THE ROBOTS ARE COMING!”

My take: Amazon has the money and the talent to go after AGI. It feels like we’re 2-3 years away from that, not 5-7.
My take: While the world is focused on space and Mars, I am still pretty focused on the oceans of this planet. We must protect them at all costs.
My take: I continue to get so much shit from people for saying AI will take away many jobs from people, but guess what? AI will take away many jobs from people.
My take: Even the world’s greatest designers will need to submit to AI-assisted help to speed up the creation process. I am all for that!
