(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.

Hello! I am testing out a weekend edition of Bagel Bots to see if there is an appetite for it. I’ll see if the opens and clicks are high, so please click around if something catches your eye!

There is an AI running for Parliament in the UK, which seems normal to me for some reason. 🤷

Next month, the United Kingdom will witness a unique entry in its general election: an artificial intelligence candidate. “AI Steve,” backed by Sussex businessman Steve Endacott, will compete alongside human candidates to represent the Brighton Pavilion area in Brighton and Hove. Endacott, the chairman of Neural Voice, a company specializing in AI-driven personalized voice assistants, describes AI Steve as his “AI co-pilot.” While Endacott will be the actual politician in Parliament, he plans to rely heavily on AI Steve to stay connected with constituents and incorporate their views into his decisions. Neural Voice’s innovative technology, exemplified by AI Steve, aims to revolutionize how politicians engage with the public, promising a constant and responsive presence.

In fact, you can talk directly to AI Steve on their website anytime you want on their website! So, if you have questions, be sure to go and ask!

After this week’s US Presidential debate, I’d prefer an AI over our two options.

Cool Tech: Elemind

I have no problems falling asleep, but this is exciting tech that freaks me out a little bit. I’ll explain more below.

Elemind is set to launch an innovative neurotech wellness headband designed to enhance your sleep by harnessing cutting-edge neurotechnology to help you fall asleep on demand. This groundbreaking headband optimizes sleep performance by guiding brainwaves away from wakefulness and into a deeper sleep state. In clinical trials, Elemind’s wearable device reduced the time it took 76% of participants to fall asleep, achieving an average reduction of 48% and, in some cases, up to 74% faster. This new technology promises a significant improvement in sleep quality and efficiency for its users.

One use case I would like is planes. I can never sleep on planes. I had two excruciating flights to and from London last week, where I slept very little.

My only worry is, what if the machine broke and kept you asleep? I am sure there are failsafe options, but that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw this.

Today’s Tip: Crafting Presidential Portraits with AI

This week, most of us watched a horrific presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. While the debate was terrible, we can still use Midjourney to create images of them being best buddies because AI is cool.

You've probably been blocked if you’ve tried to do this by using their names.

Here is a prompt for you to get it done:

a selfie of the current american president, Joe, an elderly man with a kind and gentle expression, characterized by short white hair and a prominent smile. He is wearing a dark blue suit with a light blue tie and a white dress shirt. together with an american president with blond hair and orange skin looking into the camera smiling, taking a selfie, shot with iphone --ar 9:16

It doesn’t have to be a selfie, either. You can do anything with this prompt:

a photo of the current american president, Joe, an elderly man with a kind and gentle expression, characterized by short white hair and a prominent smile. He is wearing a dark blue suit with a light blue tie and a white dress shirt. together with an american president with blond hair and orange skin looking into the camera while eating together at a diner --ar 9:16

You can use the above prompt to create images of the most famous people or politicians without calling them by name. Happy Creating!
