(Read time: five minutes) - Fun fact: I never change this.

Today marks a massive milestone in the future of work. OpenAI just unveiled o1, a game-changing reasoning model that’s taking AI to a whole new level of problem-solving. Unlike traditional models that spit out what they’ve learned from consuming data, o1 actually breaks down complex tasks, thinks step-by-step, and learns from its mistakes.

Why does this matter for the future of work?

Imagine having an AI partner that doesn’t just help with routine tasks but tackles problems you’ve never seen before. Whether coding new software, solving Olympiad-level math, or uncovering relationships between enzymes in biology, o1 can navigate these challenges with advanced reasoning.

For founders and innovators, this is a HUGE leap forward. We’re closer to an era where AI can help us build, solve, and create on a scale we’ve only dreamed about.

The best part? This is just the beginning.

This cannabis startup pioneered “rapid onset” gummies

Most people prefer to smoke cannabis but that isn’t an option if you’re at work or in public.

That’s why we were so excited when we found out about Mood’s new Rapid Onset THC Gummies. They can take effect in as little as 5 minutes without the need for a lighter, lingering smells or any coughing.

Nobody will ever know you’re enjoying some THC.

We recommend you try them out because they offer a 100% money-back guarantee. And for a limited time, you can receive 20% off with code FIRST20.

Cool Tech: Waymo ❤️ Uber

From enemies to frenemies!

Waymo and Uber are expanding their partnership to bring fully autonomous rides to Austin and Atlanta in early 2025, available exclusively through the Uber app. Uber will manage and dispatch a fleet of Waymo’s all-electric Jaguar I-PACE vehicles, growing to hundreds of cars over time.

“Waymo’s mission is to be the world’s most trusted driver, and we’re excited to launch this expanded network and operations partnership with Uber in Austin and Atlanta to bring the benefits of fully autonomous driving to more riders,” said Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO, Waymo. “We’ve been delighted at the positive feedback from our Waymo One riders to date, and we can’t wait to bring the comfort, convenience, and safety of the Waymo Driver to these cities in partnership with Uber.”

The future is not just electric; it’s autonomous. I am counting down the days!
