Standard Chartered To Cut 7,800 Jobs As AI Reshapes Banking
Standard Chartered says it plans to cut more than 15% of its corporate workforce — roughly 7,800 jobs — by 2030 as it ramps up automation, analytics, and AI across the bank. CEO Bill Winters framed the shift bluntly during the company’s earnings call, saying the goal is not traditional cost-cutting but “replacing low-value human capital with financial and investment capital.” The move comes as major tech firms like Meta also prepare for another wave of layoffs tied to AI-driven efficiency pushes. Standard Chartered says the changes are part of a broader effort to raise productivity and profitability, with AI expected to increasingly handle repetitive and process-heavy white-collar work. The deeper thesis: companies are no longer treating AI as an experimental productivity tool — they are beginning to redesign headcount strategy around it.
So what does that mean for you?
The signal here isn’t just about layoffs. It’s about which kinds of work companies still see as valuable in an AI-heavy economy. Repetitive, rules-based, and highly digital office work is increasingly vulnerable, while workers who can manage systems, make decisions, communicate clearly, and use AI effectively may become more valuable over time.
In practical terms, that means:
• Learn how AI tools apply directly to your current role
• Build skills around judgment, communication, and problem-solving
• Focus on work that complements AI instead of competing with it

Elon Musk Loses Lawsuit Against Sam Altman And OpenAI
Elon Musk lost his legal battle against Sam Altman and OpenAI after a California jury unanimously ruled that his claims were filed too late under the law. Musk had accused OpenAI, Altman, Greg Brockman, and Microsoft of transforming OpenAI from a nonprofit mission into a profit-driven business that unfairly enriched its leaders. But jurors sided with OpenAI’s statute-of-limitations defense, effectively ending one of the most closely watched legal fights in the AI industry. The ruling removes a major legal threat hanging over OpenAI as the company reportedly moves closer toward a future IPO. Musk says he plans to appeal the decision, arguing the case still raises broader concerns about how nonprofit AI organizations can evolve into commercial giants. The deeper thesis: the battle over AI is no longer just about technology — it’s increasingly becoming a fight over power, governance, and who controls the future of the industry.
Key Takeaways:
• A California jury ruled unanimously that Elon Musk filed his claims against OpenAI too late under the law
• The decision removes a major legal overhang for OpenAI as it continues expanding commercially and reportedly eyes a future IPO
• The case highlights growing tensions around how nonprofit AI labs evolve into massively valuable for-profit companies

TODAY’S PROMPT
This prompt strips out robotic phrasing in seconds
This mega-prompt acts like a ruthless human editor that strips away the robotic patterns AI writing keeps falling into. It scans your draft for fake enthusiasm, corporate filler, repetitive cadence, overexplaining, and “safe” phrasing — then rewrites the piece while preserving your actual voice. The result feels sharper, cleaner, more confident, and far less obviously AI-generated.
👉 Use the prompt + check out my example output here
Act as a ruthless senior editor whose job is to make AI-assisted writing sound genuinely human, sharp, natural, and believable without losing the original meaning or personality of the author.
Your task is to analyze the writing sample I provide and identify any signs of “AI tone” or robotic writing patterns.
Specifically look for:
• Overexplaining
• Repetitive sentence cadence
• Fake enthusiasm
• Corporate filler language
• Generic transitions
• Unnecessary em dashes
• Predictable sentence balance
• Hedging and overly safe phrasing
• Buzzwords and vague abstractions
• Robotic clarity that sounds unnatural
• Paragraphs that feel too polished or emotionally flat
• Repeated sentence openings or structures
• Any phrasing that sounds like it was written to avoid offending anyone
Then rewrite the piece to sound:
• More human
• More conversational
• More confident
• More specific
• More emotionally believable
• More varied in rhythm and sentence length
• More like an experienced writer with opinions and personality
IMPORTANT RULES:
• Preserve the original meaning and core voice
• Do NOT turn it into slang or casual internet writing unless appropriate
• Do NOT add fake storytelling or dramatic hooks
• Keep the rewrite concise and punchy
• Remove unnecessary words aggressively
• Prioritize clarity and natural flow over perfect grammar
• If a sentence already sounds human, leave it alone
• Avoid sounding “optimized”
INPUTS:
[TYPE OF CONTENT]
(e.g. newsletter, LinkedIn post, sales page, blog post, email, tweet thread)
[TARGET AUDIENCE]
[CURRENT DRAFT]
[DESIRED VOICE]
(e.g. sharp, witty, direct, analytical, minimalist, warm, authoritative)
OUTPUT:
1. “AI Tone” Diagnosis
- List the biggest robotic patterns hurting the piece
2. Line-Level Fixes
- Show before/after examples of the worst offenders
3. Full Humanized Rewrite
- Rewrite the entire piece in a cleaner, more natural voice
4. Final Editorial Notes
- Explain what changed stylistically and why the rewrite feels more human
If anything is missing, make the most reasonable assumption and state it briefly before the rewrite. ⚡️ Want to Build and Sell Prompts Like This?
